Nations League Mancini’s selection did not go from a draw to one against the Balkan
The National directed by Mancini started the second edition of the Nations League with a draw (1-1) against Bosnia. The Balkans went ahead on the scoreboard through Dzeko, while the Italians equalized 10 minutes later thanks to a goal from Sensi, which found Sunjic’s collaboration in the form of a deviation from the trajectory.
Italy dominated the game, especially in the first half, which was practically a monologue of the Nazionale. The substitution of Immobile, European Golden Boot of 2019-20, was surprising, but Mancini opted for a Belotti that never finished performing against the team led by Bajevic.
Despite the dominance of the ball, Italy could only employ Sehic from outside the area, by means of shots like those of Insigne and Chiesa, before the average now.
In the second half, Bosnia warned with a shot from Hodzic to the post in the 52‘and five minutes later, Dzeko scored his 59th goal for the Bosnian national team.
Shortly after, Italy found its prize through a shot from Sensi after Insigne’s move – the best of the game – and Sunjic had the bad luck to deflect inside his own goalkeeper.
Distribution of points just in a good football game.
